It is a Mediterranean-type town built on the Chavón River and is home to the National Archaeological Museum. It also has an Amphitheater of impressive beauty where the best world artists have performed in recent years.
Its construction began in 1976 when Charles Bludhorn, president of an American company, had the idea of using stones from a road they were building to build this Mediterranean villa. It is said that he made it to give it to his daughter on her birthday.
From here we will be able to enjoy impressive views of the Chavón River. Scenes from the movies Rambo and Apocalypse Now were filmed in this mighty river, and it was also used by pirates to hide their precious treasures.
After visiting this amazing area, we left for a place unknown to tourists…
A place outside of mass tourism, a visit in the middle of tranquility…
